GRADE I-VIII

The examination from Academic Year 2021-2022 would be conducted as per the assessment structure below.

  • Periodic Test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dates by school.

Half Yearly Examination

  • Written Examination for 80 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of Half Yearly Exam dates by school

  • Periodic Test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dates by school.

Annual Exam

  • Written Exam for 80 marks with syllabus coverage as  below:
  • Grade VI : 10% of I Term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of II Term
  • Grade VII : 20% of I Term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of II Term

Grade VIII : 30% of I Term covering significant topics + Entire syllabus of II Term

Periodic Test (10 marks)

There will be written tests in the entire academic year ie. Pre Mid, Mid Term, Post Mid Term and Final Exam.

Notebook Submission (5 marks)

As a part of Internal Assessment it is aimed at addressing the critical aspect of regularity, punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep.

Subject enrichment Activity (5 marks)

Subject specific application activities will be conducted to enrichment the understanding and skill development among students.

Languages –       Speaking and Listening Skills

Maths –                Lab Practical

Science –             Practical Lab Work

Social Science –  Map Work and Project Work

  • Co-Scholastic Activities:
  • Co-curricular activities will be promoted for the holistic development of the student. These activities will be graded on a 3-Point grading Scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good, C = Fair ).Note: – No up scaling of grades will be done.
  • Discipline (Attendance, Sincerity, Behaviour, Values):
  • Element of discipline will be graded on a 5- point scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good, C = Fair).

Note:- The internal assessment comprising 20 marks (10+5+5) develops approach among the students

Subject Enrichment Activities : These activities are to be carried out through out the Term. However they should be evaluated at the Term end.
Languages : the language teachers may devise their own methods and parameters for assessment of the languages.
Mathematics : The teachers may devise their own methods and parameters for assessment of Mathematics.
Science : Practical work and activities in Science may be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Book.
Social Science : Map or the project work may be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT syllabus and Text Book.
